Our new baby is here!
Monday, December 17th, 2007Finally! We've been waiting for her for a long time now. The time has finally come! Meet our newest baby, Nikki…

(This is not the actual photo. Nikki, for now, is still camera shy haha. But it's the same Nikon D40.)
Can't wait to start shooting using a DECENT camera!
LP (and some alcohol woes)
Thursday, December 13th, 2007
So anyway, after having my haircut, I went to Nayong SariSari Store (or whatever name it has–i forgot!) in LP (Little Pinas–haha) to buy some Pinoy stuff:
- Lucky Me Pancit Canton (calamansi flavor)
- Palabok Mix
- Tinapa
- Manggang Hilaw
- Barrio Fiesta Sweet Bagoong
- Chicharon
- Knorr Magic Sarap
If I need to go to LP, I always go on a weekday cuz if I go on the weekends, the place is literally overflowing with Noy-pis that it's difficult to do the stuff you're supposed to do.
Upon making chicka with the bicolanang tindera, I just had to ask if they're secretly selling Ginebra San Miguel. Hahaha!!! I miss my good ol' gin! Pero wala e. It's really not worth it to sell those because of the high import tax and if they smuggle it naman, it would be way too dangerous.
So this coming Christmas, I have to settle for Absolut Vodka to wash away my homesickness. Thanks to Tin and Marjon for buying one for me at the DFS upon their return from Pinas. And my gosh! The price difference ha!
Absolut Vodka at Cold Storage : $71
Absolut Vodka at Duty Free: $20 ONLY!
That's why if someone's coming from the airport and they ask me if there's anything I want them to buy for me, I always have a one-word reply: AL-CO-HOL!!!
Picture grabbed from here…Thanks for sharing!
A Hairy Story (continuation)
I couldn't tahan the haircut I got last night. So I went and had my hair cut again after work kanina. This time, I went to LP. Sa isang pinoy salon dun. And voila! They were able to repair the damage done by Jantzen's stylist hahah! Galing talga ng pinoy!!! I was able to get a haircut that's almost like the one I wanted. Sammy said, when my hair grows pa, I should come back daw so he can style it again. Yehey!
Sammy's Unisex Salon (haha unisex–mga pinoy lang talaga mahilig sa word na to!) was a typical pinoy parlor. Pero ha, in fairness, a lot of people really told me na magaling sila mag-cut.
Jantzen's Wash and Cut: $25
Maganda Unisex Salon: $15
Getting the style I want: Priceless.
So you see, it's not the name or the appearance of the salon. It's really about how they understand what you want.
Yehey!!!
A Hairy Story
I love my hair. And I am proud of it. That's why one of my hatest moments is coming out of a salon with a haircut that I am not satisfied with.
I've been wanting to get a haircut for a long time now. The last haircut I had was after the wedding. It was an impulsive decision I made while travelling from Manaoag, a few days after our wedding. We were in Tarlac Highway, then we stopped in this small shopping complex. I saw (more…)
Currently obsessing over Daim
Monday, December 10th, 2007The Daim bar, formerly known in UK and Ireland as "Dime" Bar, is a crunchy caramel bar covered in milk chocolate. It was discovered in Sweden in 1953 by the Swedish company Marabou. And because it has a Swedish origin, you can find it in any Ikea Swedish market And it is soooo sinfully yummy! I think I can finish one bar in one sitting hahaha.

There's also Daim candy, but i personally prefer the chocolate bar.

Ikea Restaurant has their own Daim cake which is just as sinful.

Oh my, why is it most of the great stuff on earth is either immoral, illegal or full of calories!!!
Try this, I highly recommend it! And if you're worried about the calories, let me leave you with this quote:
"Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the Titanic who waved off the dessert carts."

Newbie in SG?
If you're staying at the west or south/central, visit Ikea's Alexandra outlet. Or if you are in the east side, then the Tampines outlet would be more convenient for you. Click here to know how to get to these stores.

Sa Paskong Ito
Sunday, December 9th, 2007…gusto kong bitayin si Santa.
But there's nothing I can do about it. Whether I'm back home or not, tuloy ang Pasko. So with a heavy heart, I just had to force (my hubby) to put up some Christmas decors. (more…)
Today I learned…
Monday, December 3rd, 2007…that I have the ability to cry realllly hard, without shedding a single tear.
Tuesday, November 27th, 2007A few months ago, I was doing these things hahaha… Now, shempre hindi! Kasi bagong work, super ganado pa! hahaha
This is strictly FOR EMPLOYEES ONLY. If you own your business or you are a freelancer, hindi ka makakarelate dito.

A. Una ay umabsent.
(more…)
Jolly V sa SG!!!
About two weeks ago, I received a PM from Kendz: Mitchie, may bagong pinoy food outlet sa Lau Pa Sat. Super kalasa ng Jollibee!!!
Being a certified Chickenjoy lover, it immediately piqued my curiousity because I was craving for Jollibee for such a loooong time now!!! Even my other pinoy friends here told me that (more…)
