Para sa mga tinatamad magtrabaho dito sa SG
Tuesday, November 27th, 2007A few months ago, I was doing these things hahaha… Now, shempre hindi! Kasi bagong work, super ganado pa! hahaha
This is strictly FOR EMPLOYEES ONLY. In Tagalog, para lamang ito sa mga "aliping-sanggigilid". If you own your business or you are a freelancer, hindi ka makakarelate dito. Kung bossing ka sa kumpanya mo or you are going after a promotion, hindi rin ito para sa yo.
Read and learn…
Sa buhay empleyado merong dalawang pagpipilian kung tinatamad kang magtrabaho.
A. Una ay umabsent.
(more…)
Jolly V sa SG!!!
About two weeks ago, I received a PM from Kendz: Mitchie, may bagong pinoy food outlet sa Lau Pa Sat. Super kalasa ng Jollibee!!!
Being a certified Chickenjoy lover, it immediately piqued my curiousity because I was craving for Jollibee for such a loooong time now!!! Even my other pinoy friends here told me that (more…)
My father, my hero
Sunday, November 25th, 2007his love is unconditional.
his sacrifices, unending.
my memories with him, priceless.
Now that I live miles away from home, suffering from homesickness and all other what-have-yous of a Pinoy abroad, I understand more and more the kind of life that my father has been having for so many years now.
Karaoke Etiquette
Saturday, November 24th, 2007It has been a long time since I donned my singer's hat and belt it out in a KTV room. I and my local buddies have frequented the best (and worst) KTV lounges here. Of course, I don't dare sing in the "common" hall. We always get our own room. Otherwise, if the public hears me sing, the Filipino's reputation for being great singers will forever be ruined.
The Proposal in the Park
Thursday, November 15th, 2007
Kudos to this guy for scheming with a photographer when he proposed to his girlfriend.
Click here to see to more of the wonderful photos! It's so romantic!!!!

What's your proposal story?
Ang haba ba ng hair mo to receive more than one proposal in your life?
Did the proposal culminate on the altar? Or nagtanan na lang kayo?
Or puros business proposal lang ang natatanggap mo so far? (nyee!!!)
Do you think that it's just right that the man be the "proposer", and the woman remain the "proposee"? (hehe)
As Pinays, how significant is THE proposal to our relationships?
Would you/ Were you hurt if/when your partner did not propose to you in the typical GRAND-BIG-DEAL-SWEEP-ME-OFF-MY-FEET way?
on wearing a toga–then and now
Sunday, November 4th, 2007
Last weekend, our school had its annual graduation. The past graduation ceremonies were not that formal so this time, the management decided that students and the faculty should wear a toga (in Singapore, they call it a "gown"). The graduation was held at the auditorium of the Asian Civilisations Museum, it's within the Raffles area, just across the Fullerton Hotel.
My just-for-fun-totally-useless Facebook groups
I am still in the process of discovering the wonderful things you can do with Facebook. Unlike other social networks that just allow you to keep up with friends, upload unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, Facebook also allows you to use certain applications that will make you forget that you're supposed to be working when you're at the office.
Since I am still overwhelmed by these applications, I decided to focus first in joining the different Facebook groups.
My friends have invited me to join groups that support causes such as 1 Million Against the War in Iraq and Save the Penguins-Stop Global Warming. Then there are those groups that represent common interests and backgrounds like Addicted to All Things Chocolate and All I Want To Do is Travel. I did not join these groups though. Rather, these are the groups that I joined:
- People who go out for a single drink and end up getting trashed
- A Filipino without a Magic Mic is not a Filipino at all…
- I have lied to myself saying "I'm never drinking again."
- I judge you when you use poor grammar
- No, I Don't Care If I Die at 12AM, I Refuse To Pass On Your Chain Letter
- I want some Jollibee!
- People who don't sleep enough because they stay up late for no reason
- If You Can't Differentiate Between "Your" and "You're" You Deserve to Die
- When I was your age, we had to blow on the video games to make them work
- I always think my cell phone is vibrating in my pocket when it isn't
- Facebook group for people who like joining facebook groups.

When your best friend is cheating on her husband
Friday, November 2nd, 2007I was doing my daily bloghopping and I went to one of my favorite sites, WifeSpeaks. Their recent topic is about a cheating spouse. If you found out about it, what would you do?
I thought: Of course I'm gonna tell on him! If I learned that my best friend's husband is cheating on her, I will let her know about it. Actually, she doesn't even have to be my BFF for me to tell her. If she's my friend and I care for her, then I will definitely tell her.
BUT…The scenario in the topic comes with a twist.
What if the cheating spouse is your BFF?! You found out accidentally or admittedly. What would you do? Would you tell her Best Friend Forever's husband that she's cheating on him? (more…)
Our HS Grad Song
Thursday, November 1st, 2007My best friend uploaded one of our High School photos in her site. It was taken 12 years ago. And although I should cringe seeing how I look like that time–mukha akong anak ng magsasak–I actually felt good when I saw it. I mean, High School was fun! And oh so simple.
So anyway, here's the photo I was talking about…plus an excerpt from our HS grad song. I still remember its words, and I can still sing it with the same out-of-tune voice that I had way back in high school.
